MEAAA Volunteer Opportunities

  • Senior Center Volunteer - All Senior Center Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday. Volunteers can commit to as little as 1 day per week.
  • Meals-on-Wheels Driver - Deliver a hot nutritious meal to home-bound seniors in your neighborhood.
  • Exercise Instructor - Help seniors stay fit by instructing an exercise class one or two days per week. Training can be provided.
  • Activities Instructor - Help our centers with activities such as computer classes, arts and crafts, or dance classes.
  • Front Desk/Clerical - Help by answering phones, recording reservations and cancellations, assist with counting daily contributions and help maintain sign-in sheets. As Greeter to welcome seniors to the center.
  • Food Service/Server - Help assist the staff in the preparation, serving, and/or cleaning up after the noon meal.
  • Silver Haired Legislature - Become a member of the formally elected body of citizens 60 years or older, that promote legislative advocacy for older adults.
  • Missouri SMP - Receive training on educating and assisting beneficiaries in fighting Medicare and Medicaid fraud.  Click here for more information.
  • STAR (Senior Transportation and Rides) - Volunteer to drive seniors to their medical appointments. (St. Charles County only) Call 636-978-3306
  • Advisory Council Membership – Assist MEAAA with identifying and advocating for important changes in our community.  Members are appointed by the Council and by county governing bodies.
  • Senior Center Support Committees – Assist local MEAAA senior centers with providing additional activities, celebrations and recognition events.  Members are elected at the senior centers.  For information on a senior center in your area contact MEAAA, 636-207-0847
