Physical Requirements / Job Descriptions:
Positions listed below require that you are able to lift up to 40 pounds floor to waist and be able to stand for up to 4 hours. Drivers are required to be able to lift 40 pounds floor to waist, carry 20 pounds up to 50 feet and be able to be outdoors in all weather conditions.
Site Aide I - Assist with kitchen clean up, wash dishes, pots, clean kitchen equipment, restrooms, sweep floors, assist with food prep as directed, stock shelves, rotate inventory, pack home delivered meals, deliver meals as needed.
Site Aide II - Assume duties of Senior Center Administrator as needed, assist with kitchen clean up and custodial work, pack home delivered meals, verify food temperatures for home delivered meals, recruit, supervise and train volunteers, order supplies, record keeping.
Driver - Deliver prepared food from senior center / central kitchen to a catered location, community site and/or individual homes using a designated company vehicle. Assist with portioning and packing food to be delivered, place packed food in appropriate holding device, assure that delivery vehicle and equipment are clean and maintained. Log daily mileage. Requires you obtain a class E license.
Cook - Responsible for food preparation in accordance with menus, recipes, sanitation codes, regulations and policies. Assist with staff and volunteer training and recordkeeping. Assumes duties of Senior Center Administrator as needed, provides daily direction to kitchen staff, orders, receives, stores, rotates, and inventories food. Batch cooking experience is required.
Assistant Cook - Responsible for preparation of specific menu items at the direction of the cook. Assists with purchasing, receiving and record keeping. Fills in for other staff as needed. Assists with clean up, food storage, inventory rotation, serves and packs meals.
